Saiva Sithantha Sungum - Sezela Branch: Youth Engagement programme a success

The Saiva Sithantha Sungum - Sezela Branch recently organised a Youth Initiative in Sezela that left an indelible mark on both children and their parents.

This event, which aimed to engage and inspire the youth, was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication of the branch and its volunteers.

The day began on a serene note with Sister Nalini leading a session of Yoga, Pranayama, and Meditation. These practices not only instilled a sense of calm but also encouraged physical and mental well-being among the participants, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead.

Motivational speakers played a crucial role in imparting valuable life lessons to the youth. Guru Dolly emphasized the importance of prayer for children, instilling in them the significance of spiritual connection and mindfulness from a young age.

Guru Louis, on the other hand, shared the rich history, experiences, and teachings of Guruswamigal, with a special focus on Saivite Saints like Thiru Gnaana Sambandar and the melodious song of Maamunivar.

Storytelling added another layer of enrichment to the event, with Sister Therina reading from Guruswamigal's book for children and captivating stories about Shivasakthi. These stories not only entertained but also instilled values and morals in the young minds.

The day also featured an array of creative activities, including clay lamp decoration for Karthigay Deepam, DIY agarbathi holders, cone incense making, beadwork, and an abundance of fun games. These activities not only encouraged artistic expression but also fostered teamwork and creativity among the youth.

To keep the young participants energized throughout the day, they were treated to a nutritious breakfast, lunch, fruits, and snack packs, ensuring their physical well-being was well taken care of.

The event concluded with blessings, gift packs, and medals, serving as a token of appreciation for the enthusiastic participation of the youth.
