SAKTHI is none other than, he, whom we call SIVA.
Sakthi is cosmic energy. When it is inactive, we call it Brahman-That.
But when it has the function of creating, preserving or destroying, we call it Sarasvathee, Lakshmi and Kali.
Siva and Sakthi are no more different from each other than fire and its action of burning.
If you think of the one, you automatically think of the other.
To accept Sakthi is to accept Siva.
The personal and Impersonal are the same being, in the same way as milk and its whiteness or the diamond and its lustre.
It is impossible to conceive of the one without the other. The divine mother and Siva are one.
The feeling that induces humanity to lift the female to the status of divinity, and the tenderest and most passionate of all our emotions which we cling around the word 'MOTHER' , ought to enable one to realise our ideal God as the 'Divine Sakthi'.
It is the law of relativity that governs our very being. If there was one colour, the art of painting will be an impossibility ; if there was one sound, one tune, we could never have music.
The Divine Mother is the source from where everything begins. Through this divine Sakthi, our intuitions in all phases lays open to higher potentialities in physical, vital, mental, supra-mental and bliss in the highest consciousness in unity with all universal life.
Mother Sakthi vibrates wonderful symphonies of music as Sarasvathee. The midst of ignorance disappears. A new power of seeing into the heart of all things and hearing the delightful flood of music are acquired.
There is light in darkness. In the perfect clarity of silence, there is a voice of stillness, mother Kali speaks.
A new stream flows, being the essence of all life giving sustenance and power, as mother Lakshmi, the source of all energies, the unborn spirit self, the sleeping spiritual power in man.
The concept of Sakthi is the central theme in Saiva Sithantha, because it helps us to realise the unity in diversities. There is a plurality of substance and a unity of organisation. The Lord is the efficient cause and Sakthi the instrumental cause.
The highest earthly love known to man is that of a mother. Hence God's love is naturally conceived as a perfect mother. She is an inexhaustible fountain of love, ever with us and filling us with divine joy.
