Sungum to host Thirumurai Festival in Pietermaritzburg

The Saiva Sithantha Sungum was established to promote Saivism as taught by our Saivite Saints and Sages.

Thirumurais are spontaneous outpourings of the Saivite Saints and is a revelation of the intimate rapport between the Saints and Lord Siva.

The Founder of the Saiva Sithantha Sungum, His Holiness Sri Siva Subramonia Guru Swamigal, in his commandments, states “Oh! Members of the Saiva Sithantha Sungum clearly understand that the Saiva Sithantha Sungum was founded to preserve and propagate the worship of Sivaperumaan as taught by our Saiva Saints and Sages. "

Guru Swamigal also cried out in a song, “Dhehvaaram Jaggamellaam Paada Arullaai”, Oh Lord Siva, show me your grace to sing Dhehvaaram the World over. Oh Lord, show me your grace to be in the supreme spiritual space adored by the ascetics” 

The Thirumurai Festivals are intended to create greater awareness and consciousness of the profound messages contained in the songs to the broader community.The rendition of these divine songs elevate us to phenomenal spiritual heights, and the speaker/s will explore the deeper meanings, profound messages and importance of these divine compositions during the festival. If these messages are embedded in the consciousness, one will accomplish amazing transformation and consequently phenomenal spiritual growth and development.
