SUPREME SIVA by Swami Sivananda Navalar

All beings in their successive evolution, end in Siva and emerge from him. He who ends things, begins them too. Siva, the supreme lord, is the sun of imutable reality, ever as he is. Just as sunrise awakens the active world, so also the very presence of the supreme lord provokes the action of his divine energy, awakens the cosmic forces and turns the wheel of evolution.

GOD cannot be perceived nor known by the mental being. He is beyond the ken of sensorium. The soul must merge unto him its separate individuality, its egoconsciousness. It must make a perfect surrender to his grace and melt in prayer.

Through love and devotional prayer, the grace opens the inner eye to a higher vision, a vision beyond mind. Through the vision of grace, the soul sees the light that leads to the lord. Siva has no mortal birth or body. He is not subject to the law of evolution. It is his will that turns the wheel of progressive evolution. He is not known by the limited little minded craeture knowledge. He is known only through the divine wisdom inspired by his grace.

Siva is beyond, imagination, perception, conception and sensation. He is beyond words. He is nameless, formless, featureless, measureless, limitless, endless. BUT, he is present in all.

He is love in the heart. He is immanent in all nature. He is the tune in the harp, the fragrance in blossoms, the light in the sun, the coolness in the moon, the heat in the flame, the sound in ether, the smell in earth. He cannot be caught in the mind. He is caught in the heart's devotion. Saivism adores him in all aspects. He is the unique one, the peerless light that shines in the heart of all beings.

His love and bliss are his ineffable form of divine radiance. His supreme love shall set ablaze the inner light of limitless bliss. He is our saviour Lord Siva, light of wisdom. He is Satchithanandha, pure truth, consciousness and bliss.

He is an ocean of mercy and compassion. He is the perfect love. He is eternal, ultra-cosmic infinite grace that rules over the world. He is the knower that one makes us know. He is there where we meditate. He is light, that is word and meaning. He is the beginning , being and the end. He is the meaning of all spoken scriptures.

He is the life throbbing in all bodies. Life breathing in everything. He is form and formless. He is the reality beyond mentality. He is one, the many, the life of lives. He is the word, thought, the eternal self, transcedental one, God, Supreme Siva Jothi
